ADMISSION IN ONE YEAR AND TWO YEARS NCVT & SCVT COURSES

Every year Director of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam issues advertisement inviting on-line Registration for admission into ITIs of Assam including ITI Nagaon arround the Month of May / June. Any of the admission notice and the On-Line Registration is provided for ITI Nagaon through http://itiassam.admission.nic.in. by DE&CT Assam. Boys and Girls permanently residing in Assam are normally eligible for admission into ITI Nagaon. The candidate must be within the age group of 14 years to 40 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. No maximum age bar for women candidates. The candidates must also possess the minimum qualifications prescribed for the Trades in which admission is desired. The candidate seeking admission into ITI should be medically fit and must produce a certificate of medical fitness from a authorized medical practitioner which is normally arranged by the institute.

Selection Procedure made as per following procedure for NCVT & SCVT Trades:-

       Selection for Post Metric Trade is made on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in HSLC examination.
       Selection for Under Metric Trade is made on the basis of marks secured in class-VIII which to be certified in a prescribed form by school authority.
      Same number of sanctioned seats are allowed for admission after 1st, 2nd or more counselling of ITI Nagaon, through website http://itiassam.admission.nic.in. Allotment for admission is given by DE&CT Assam through website only. Spot admission is given to the alloted candidates after certificate verification at ITI Nagaon on the payment of notified fees..
      Seat Reservations for various categories are maintained as per mentioned in admission notice of DE&CT, Assam.

One year & two years courses under IMC are made as per following procedure :-

     Combined Admission notice with above NCVT and SCVT is issued by DE&CT, Assam for "SCVT and "NCVT courses under IMC" every year. Selection procedure is same as given above. The interested candidates will have to agree for payment of higher fee structure as mentioned in the admission notice.

ADMISSION IN SHORT TERM COURSES
 
      Admission in short term course is almost continuous process on demand in various courses. Duration of course is like 120Hours, 180Hours etc. Minimum required qualification depends on desired trade. Any of the Private Company / Govt. Organization can arrange or sponsore a training program at ITI Nagaon in Co-Operation with authority.
