Admission Criteria


Every year Director of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam issues advertisement inviting on-line applications for admission into ITI Nagaon arround the Month of May / June. Any of the admission notice and the On-Line registration is provided for ITI Nagaon through by DE&CT Assam. Boys and Girls permanently residing in Assam are normally eligible for admission into ITI Nagaon. The candidate must be within the age group of 14 years to 40 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. No age bar for women candidates. The candidates must also possess the minimum qualifications prescribed for the Trades in which admission is desired. The candidate seeking admission into ITI should be medically fit and must produce a certificate of medical fitness from a authorized medical practitioner which is normally arranged by the institute.

Selection Procedure made as per following procedure for NCVT & SCVT Trades:-

       Selection for Post Metric Trade is made on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in HSLC examination.
       Selection for Under Metric Trade is made on the basis of marks secured in class-VIII which to be certified in a prescribed form.
      Same number of sanctioned seats are allowed for admission after 1st, 2nd or more counselling of ITI Nagaon / through website
Allotment for admission is given by DE&CT Assam through website only. Spot admission is given to the alloted candidates after certificate verification at ITI Nagaon.
      Seat Reservations for various categories are maintained as per mentioned in admission notice of DE&CT, Assam.

OOne year & two years courses under IMC are made as per following procedure :-

     Combined Admission notice is issued by DE&CT, Assam for "SCVT courses under IMC" every year. Selection procedure is same as given above for NCVT courses. The interested candidates will have to agree for payment of higher fee structure as mentioned in the admission notice.

"Advanced Module"s of Information Technology Trade (NCVT) are made as per following procedure :-

       Separate Admission notice is issued by DE&CT, Assam for Advanced Modules. Duration of the course is six months. Normally session starts from 1st February every year. Who has only completed IT(BBBT) or Passed I&CTSM are eligible for admission or as mentioned in admission notice.


      Admission in short term, part time Modular Employable Skill (MES) is almost continuous process on demand in various courses. Duration of course is like 120Hours, 180Hours etc. Minimum required qualification is the main base of selection procedure. Total Rs. 1800 is to be deposited for admission (with a discount for some castes) and except the examination fees which is refunded to a pass out trainee. NCVT Certificate is awarded to a pass out trainee. For details may contact with MES section of ITI Nagaon.
